A few years ago, my veterinarian told me that the minimum values on pet nutrition labels aren't a good way to determine the nutritional content. She gave me a list of foods that were tested more thoroughly. I was shocked to see how wildly protein content varied, even within the same brand. Some did not even meet the AAFCO (Association of American Feed Control Officials) minimum guidelines. Moreover, the study was conducted in 2017, and most of the flavors/recipes studied no longer existed.
Ultimately, I chose Fussie Cat as the most reliable nutritious brand on the list. So why am I here? After 4 months of cancelled shipments due to lack of supply, and an ever growing $555.40 per month price tag to feed my three cats, I took the plunge and started making my own food. I realized that I could make better quality food for less money. There are so many people doing their best for their pets on a limited budget. Good Kitty exists to serve those people.
